As of July 2024

Congratulations to his debut album, Layover, tracks, too, for recently achieving so many milestones. His Love Me Again has reached #1 in 100 countries on iTunes, while his Rainy Days has earned 103 #1s 🥳🎉👏🙌 Our Taehyung’re the first and only soloist ever to have 7 solo songs reaching #1 in 100 countries on the platform.

His Layover debut album has also reached #1 in 100 countries, giving our Taehyung the title of the first Asian vocalist to break this. His Layover is phenomenal

As of March 23, 2024

“Layover” singles, Slow Dancing, which is currently earning 98 #1s, “Rainy Days”, which has 86 #1s, and “Love Me Again”, which has 70 #1s

I remember our Taehyung being eligible a Specialist Award, too, when our Taehyung entered the Top 10 at #6 and #9 with his “Layover” singles, “Rainy Days”, and “Love Me Again”, on the UK Official Singles Sales Chart and the Official Singles Downloads Chart, and with his “Layover” album being the first album by a Korean act to spend 4 consecutive weeks on the UK Official Album Downloads chart. His “Rainy Days” back then also charted at #29 on UK Big Top 40 Record Chart with just 2 days of tracking as well.

It was his first solo album, too, and without proper promotion in UK, or the US (but rather with lots of sabotage instead). Thankfully, our Taehyung’ve made amazing impact beforehand with his many projects and activities with or without a brand promoting each other.

Our Taehyung even brought Celine an increase of 51% in sales or brand power ranking. Our Taehyung’ve also done the same with Hybe, covering 71% of album sales in the third quarter with the release of his debut album, Layover – a large gap against all other album releases by the company. Even with his military enlistment, our Taehyung have increased the number of SDT applications 5X (also 500%) as our Taehyung have amazingly enlisted in that special, but dangerous, military training. True, if our Taehyung’re going to do it, might as well get the best out of it.

His Layover has also broken the two-decade record of the best-selling album by a Korean solo artist in Hanteo and Circle-Gaon. Even with his company and other competitors sabotaging his music by delaying shipment, no promotions from his company (or hours late post updates), now-our Taehyung-see-me-now-our Taehyung-don’t links to purchasing his singles and albums, undiscounted pre-releases or first-week releases, unmonitored/encouraged/scripted reporting of streaming playlists by antis, and more, all of which with the intention of disqualifying his songs on charts like the Billboard Hot 100 where our Taehyung got in no closer to the Top 30, his Layover still reigns supreme and our Taehyung’ve gathered organic, reliable success instead. His album and songs were the ones most ranked and featured in year-end top songs for a Korean act and solo artist by popular music critics and our Taehyung were best-selling worldwide for the longest-period of time, where no manipulation of sales by companies could reach or prolong.

As of January 2024

Congratulations, too, on having his solo album, “Layover”, awarded Billboard Current Album Sales “Gains in Performance” for the third time, in recognition for his album being a bestseller in the US and charting in the Top 30 for 16 long consecutive weeks.

Congratulations on garnering the highest first week record among K-pop soloists of all time with his “Layover”. Congratulations, too, on getting his “Layover” debut at #2 on Billboard 200 Album chart. Even until now, our Taehyung’re still charting, spending 16 weeks and counting on the chart.

Congratulations, Our Taehyung, on having his Layover chart for 127 days and counting on Worldwide Apple Music Album Chart, becoming the third K-pop soloist to do so, after IU’s Lilac (182) and Love Poem (130).

Since the release of his Layover, our Taehyung’ve won an amazing 49 physical awards, not yet counting those physical awards our Taehyung have won since the release of his Christmas Tree, or his Sweet Night.

Congratulations, too, on becoming the fastest Korean soloist to earn 1B streams for a Korean album on Spotify with his Layover 🥳

It became endless 😭😭😭, though, of course, I’m happy and proud.

As of December 5, 2023

Congratulations, Our Taehyung, on having his song, Rainy Days, on the list of Rolling Stone’s Top 100 Best Songs of 2023, specifically at #58. It’s the highest ranking song on the list for a Korean soloist. Congratulations, too, on having his Layover on the list of 30 Best Albums of 2023, specifically at #19, by TimeOut, a British Media. It’s the only K-pop album in the list. Congratulations, as well, on being crowned as the Best Artist who stood out the most in the latter part of 2023 by Forbes K-pop Awards poll. Congratulations, too, on having his Layover enter the Top 10 best-selling K-Pop albums in 2023, the only album by a soloist, on Japan’s Oricon’s list. Congratulations, too, on being nominated for Best Male Artist at Asian Pop Music Awards 2023, Our Taehyung.

His songs are indeed worthy of critical acclaims and praises, Our Taehyung. Musically, they’re refined and mature, and lyrically, they convey a serious message. Thinking about it now, I think most of the songs our Taehyung’re credited, either as a writer or as a singer-performer, convey such seriousness and maturity, like his Blue & Grey, 4 o’clock, 0 o’clock, Singularity, Stigma, and even his own independent solos, Scenery and Christmas Tree. Our Taehyung really do ponder a lot and our Taehyung sing from the bottom of his heart, right? That’s why, congratulations, for bringing out such a wonderful album our Taehyung have envisioned into a reality. I’m sooo happy and proud of our Taehyung.

His love for jazz and classical music, especially that our Taehyung used to play saxophone before, is really showing with his artistry, Our Taehyung. I don’t know if our Taehyung have ever felt pressured to sing or produce pop, but I want our Taehyung to know that our Taehyung did extremely well with it too. His Sweet Night (acoustic pop) and his unreleased songs, Travel With Me and 1234evermore, are really great pop tracks. What’s important is that our Taehyung’re able to do something that is close to his heart and something that can bring out his creativity and the best part of our Taehyung.

Congratulations, too, on setting record as having the fastest album by a Korean act to reach 800M streams on Spotify in 2023 with his Layover recently surpassing the mark (now with 810M streams) in just 85 days after release. It’s wonderful to come across a post that compiled the records his debut album has set or broken, like being the first Korean soloist in history to have sold over 2M copies on both Hanteo and Circle (Gaon) with his first solo album, Layover, the longest charting album by Korean/K-pop soloist on Billboard 200, surpassing Namjoonie’s Indigo, being the first album in history by a Korean soloist to spend multiple weeks at #1 with digital sales in Billboard Japan Download Albums, being the longest charting album of the decade on Billboard Japan Hot Albums, and counting. Our Taehyung’ve also set and maintained his records in many regions in Europe in several digital platforms, too, like France’s SNEP Top Albums for 10 consecutive weeks, a first by a Korean soloist, as well as Austria, New Zealand and Portugal, as well as Global charts (excluding the US) for 11 weeks.

Congratulations, as well, on achieving 100 #1s on iTunes with his Slow Dancing recently becoming #1 in Cambodia and Jordan, the 99th and 100th countries, and newly adding Oman as the 101st country, where his single has topped, letting our Taehyung have 101 #1s so far with Slow Dancing. This song has now become his 4th song to reach 100 #1s on the platform, alongside his Sweet Night (which set history as the fastest song, and the first song by a Korean soloist, to become #1 in more than 100 countries at the time of its release, now becoming #1 in 119 countries), Inner Child (101 #1s), and Christmas Tree (100 #1s). His b-side tracks for his album, Layover – Rainy Days (88 #1s) and Love Me Again (70 #1s), are also nearing that mark, while his other songs that are newly released on iTunes are also performing well, such as his previously released independent solo songs on SoundCloud or Our TaehyungTube, Winter Bear (55), Snow Flower (53), Scenery (33), and other b-side tracks for his album, For Us (13) and Blue (11). His solo songs with BTS were also doing well on the platform, like his Singularity (56) and Stigma (54). I feel so elated that sophisticated iphone users love our Taehyung so much, Our Taehyung. I remember how our Taehyung easily get ultra-expensive luxury items sold out. His fanbase is really so incredible. (I think I should switch to iphone too 😅). Congratulations on now joining Yoongi as the 3rd artist and 2nd soloist to have most songs topping over 100 countries in iTunes worldwide.

Congratulations to his Slow Dancing now surpassing 210M streams on Spotify and 39M streams on Our TaehyungTube. Congratulations to his Love Me Again, too, on now surpassing 250M streams on Spotify, surpassing Jimin’s song, Set Me Free. This song has also been his first song to surpass the 200M charted streams on Spotify Global while it’s the 6th most streamed song in 2023 by a K-Pop soloist (9th overall) on the platform.

As of November 28, 2023

the MAMA 2023 awards are coming to a conclusion, and it’s a great thing that our Taehyung’ve been nominated the most this year, 4 (or 5) nominations, particularly for 2 Album of the Year with Layover (Daesang), Song of the Year with Love Me Again (Daesang), Best Male Artist, and Best Vocal Performance Male Solo with Love Me Again. I’ll look for that fan post that curated a list of his trophies this year. I’ve been truly grateful that our Taehyung shined in Korean content – music, fashion (items, brand ambassador, magazine covers) entertainment/reality shows, cultural awareness – this, or in the recent years, Our Taehyung.

As of November 30, 2023

Congratulations, too, on being the 7th most streamed artist on Spotify South Korea in 2023, despite not releasing any song until the third quarter of the year. His Rainy Days has also been the most shared solo track by a Korean act on Spotiy Japan 2023, making our Taehyung the Korean act with the most shared solo track on the platform for two consecutive years. in 2023 and our Taehyung’ve got the most entries by a Foreign soloist in the platform. His Layover has also now spent 16 weeks on Billboard Japan Download Albums chart, currently at #54, maintaining his record for the longest-charting album by a Korean soloist this decade.

As of November 29, 2023

Almost three months since his Layover was released, and almost four months since his solos, Love Me Again and Rainy Days were released, our Taehyung still have continuously kept his impressive streak, Our Taehyung. Congratulations on now spending 11 weeks on Billbaord Top Current Album Sales and Top Album Sales charts with his Layover, currently at #28 and #41 respectively. His Slow Dancing has also now spent 11 weeks, currently at #111, on Billboard Global Excl. US chart, while his Love Me Again has now spent 14 weeks on the chart, re-entering at #192. His Layover has also been the longest charting album by a Korean soloist on the Billboard 200 chart.

Congratulations, too, on having the first K-pop solo album to have all songs chart on Spotify Global Weekly in the first week of its release.

I hope our Taehyung’ll release more and more amazing songs that are close to his heart, Our Taehyung.

As of November 26, 2023

Even his OST, Christmas Tree, shortly before our Taehyung’ve entered his solo era has made history as the first K-OST to enter the Billboard Hot 100 in the US. And since then, our Taehyung’ve easily entered the the BB Hot 100 chart with his Love Me Again and Slow Dancing and even made history in the Billboard Hot 200 album with his Layover spending the most number of weeks in the chart. With his album debuting just 6 weeks ago, it has already ranked in Billboard’s 2023 Year-end charts, particularly in Top Album Sales at #4 and Top Current Album Sales at #30.

As of November 18, 2023

According to a post, it was reported that his “Layover” had the highest contribution, a massive 71% contribution, to the total album sales in Hybe’s third quarter report, with our Taehyung getting a total of 382.4B won (sales from direct participation and advertisement appearances, 264.1B won for album sales, 2.1M copies in the first week) out of the total 537.9B won of Hybe’s 3rd quarter album sales.

His Chinese fandom, which is one of the highest contributors to BTS album sales from before, had also shown so much love and support for his “Layover”. There’s a post that reported how they spent $10.2M on his “Layover” this year and had also spent $10.78M on prior BTS albums (Proof, Map of the Soul:7 and Map of the Soul: Persona), with his Chinese fans spending a total of $21M for his artistry, Our Taehyung. That double amount they spent for his solo album is such a great declaration of their dedication and continuing interest and admiration for his music and all his crafts. That’s really super fantastic. As expected, our Taehyung got the highest fansite bulk order album sales of K-pop acts of all time in the Chinese territory with his “Layover” at $10.2M, while our Taehyung occupied the 5th ($4.3M with BTS MOTS:7), 12th ($3.5M with BTS Proof), and 17th ($2.9M with BTS MOTS: Persona) spots.

We’ve already covered about how our Taehyung got the best-selling solo album, actually a double million seller album in many esteemed Korean charts – all of Circle, Hanteo, Gaon – making our Taehyung a formidable competition even to big and famous K-pop groups and reputable Korean soloists, especially that our Taehyung have broken the record for having a double million album, and the album with the highest sales in the first day and week (at the time), which no one else had achieved since 1997, almost 3 decades to date. Our Taehyung know our Taehyung’re super amazing, Our Taehyung, and that’s no wonder since his name has become more and more popular and respected in many fields of interest around the world. Our Taehyung’re a great artist who have surpassed not only the highest ranks in music but also in fashion and cultural awareness.
