I think your strong points this time are the reach and breadth of your music and how you’re penetrating the physical and digital music market worldwide, not only in big music markets, which is not a surprise as your biggest fandoms, or Taetae lands, are in Japan, China (and other Chinese territories), Europe, like France, the UK (and many more), and a large part of Asia (having the most significant overall influence in every region of the continent, by means of brand-related item, magazine, and album sales). You’re the Korean soloist (and K-pop member) that has the largest influence and brand or commercial value in Asia. That’s a huge strong point, Taehyung-ah, because when it comes together, it can even become greater than the convention, and might even be challenging the roles they play in music. It’s like you’re following a pattern similar to BTS’ growth and popularity, and the mark you’re leaving alone is long-lasting. I love how you’re doing it naturally, Taehyung-ah, and that love from so many places just keep pouring in. Keep doing great. 🥳🎉👏🙌

That’s a solid growth, or foundation, that you are building and are sure to have for a very long time. Of course, wherever we are (or whatever field) we are trying to explore, we should take root and excel, right? The inner potential or skills we develop, not the grades or recognition, will be our true gifts for learning and exploring, right? I think I’m learning a bit more about resilience.

No one can deny the numbers (be it sales) or deny how you are awarded multiple times on several distinguished Korean music shows, or deny how widely-recognized your Layover album is in many different regions of the world, highly charting for several consecutive weeks. The people’s heart is with the music that is celebrated, and yours is the first of the many that’s embodying such excellence in South Korea (and in so many countries and regions of the world, too), Taehyung-ah. Congratulations on getting several plaques from Melon with your singles gaining a million sreams on the first 24 hours and your Layover album getting a double million on the first 24 hours, earning you a Melon Hall of Fame Millions Album Plaque. 🥳🎉👏🙌 Congratulations, too, on being the first K-Pop male idol soloist to win 10 Weekly Popularity Awards on Melon, with your Christmas Tree garnering 4 wins and your Love Me Again and Slow Dancing so far garnering 3 wins each. 🥳🎉👏🙌 I’m excited to see you live on Melon-sponsored year-end award shows where you will receive all of these plaques and we’re all watching and remembering it for a long time (there would be cams on YouTube and other social media platforms after, right?)
However, Melon has been notorious on limiting (and sabotaging, be it indirectly or unintentionally) the artist’s recognition, like what it did in removing your K-OST, Christmas Tree, and Kakao’s, the corporation behind Melon’s music platform, shutting down all of its communication lines in South Korea for the entire duration of your World Expo concert in Busan last year (which was detrimental to the entire South Korea’s far future in the international economic and entertainment settings). Your Layover album has already experienced way too many sabotaging activities, like the delay in delivering your albums worldwide, removing your songs (or their views or streams) in several platforms and charts (like the US Billboard and UK Official charts), and not putting proper communications even with a single and timely post, which your company, or US-affiliated company, only did after being called out by your fans that trended worldwide for several hours (Woah, your fan power and support is just crazy 🤗🤗🤗, and it’s the kind of craziness we love 🤩😍). I hope there won’t be any more of such lowly, cowardly, shameful tactics from opposing entities anymore (after all, the society should have improved a lot already from thousands of years ago).
Still, if you won’t be invited, or you can’t attend, let’s just make a private ceremony or live streaming of you receiving your plaques and awards or just simply basking in any of your achievements, both simple and huge ones, through a Weverse live, okay? 🙏🙏🙏) I super want to watch it. So many Korean and foreign artists are already on Weverse, right? That’s already becoming a huge fan community, so might as well make your own year-end ceremony, right? Manifesting 🧘🏻♀️🧘🏻♀️🧘🏻♀️ But why do I have a bad feeling your company will definitely be not fair to you, and to other artists, with the ceremony? They surely have full control of it, and if they do, then they can do all the bullying they want, right? Haist, they’re making it depressive already. The oppressor just got a different face or name (but I still wish they are a company with integrity, fairness or equality, and genuine, passionate love for music and the arts 🙏🙏🙏Also, let me make it perfectly clear that I’m not an enemy of anybody, just a reviewer in the same disposition as a historian or a record-keeper. All the good people should stay no matter what. I’ve done so many failures too so I believe that if someone is good, then they surely have the potential to do more of the good, it’s always wiser to keep them). I’m finally finding peace; I realize peace is the absence of confusion. We’ll be confused a lot of times, so in the absence of peace, there should be hope, however fragile it might be. Others just keep limiting or putting off that little flicker of hope in us and it’s indeed frustrating that it’s the limiting kind of people who are often the ones who try define us, which they should not be.
