Kim Taehyung, also known as V, is a global megastar. He has become a household name in South Korea, as well as in many places in Asia. The recent backlash that our Taehyung has received about his recent McDonald’s french fries story on Instagram is reminding us of V’s indismissable, undeniable impact over any other K-pop artists. With a large crowd – both fans, anti-fans, and just the general public – took this opportunity to link Tae to the ongoing Israel-Gaza war and bashing his massive popularity, impact, and influence and its effects on the course of the war. Sounds very appealing; V, Kim Taehyung is a big name in music & branding, after all!
Kim Taehyung is a multi-awarded, best-selling artist, who is also the global brand ambassador of luxury French fashion brands, Celine and Cartier, Indonesian conglomerate’s brand ambassador for SimInvest, and the bearer of South Korea’s tourism for being Seoul’s Tourism ambassador and Compose Coffee’s newest brand ambassador – all of these brands seeing a huge spike of sales, getting items sold out, and being placed in the strongest brand rankings since they got V.
Taehyung also made a deafening impact in the Middle East, without even being there or having any solo activity there, with his luxurious Dubai Burj Khalifa birthday celebrations raised by his fans in 2020 and 2021, giving the people a glimpse of his songs, artistry, your achievements, and impact on New Year’s eve. I also remember that bangtan bomb showing Tae’s birthday billboard ads when the group was in Los Angeles for BTS’ iHeartRadio’s Jingle Ball debut in 2019. It’s also amazing to see the crowd our Taehyung attracts every time BTS makes appearances in American shows like the Grammys, both in 2019 and 2020. V’s UPICK ad for the Best Artist of June is also currently being displayed in New York Times Square. With this massive wave coming to everybody, it’s like reminding the crowd of how big Kim Taehyung has become, and we know those who are curious about V and BTS, even if they’re not into music, will be inquiring about our Taehyung.
There hasn’t been any official promotion about V in America, but look at all this attention and achievements he got in there. Because he hasn’t explored his full potential there, he surely makes everybody curious about what more he can do in the future. He’s already halfway through his military enlistment. Since projects and activities are often planned in like a year beforehand, I wonder what amazing projects he’s already receiving and considering. We surely want to see the big name of Kim Taehyung making more and more waves and conquests.
One of our Tae’s fans and ARMYs shared about Tae’s instagram achievements in the US. He’s got the most followers among Korean male celebrities, currently gaining 65.8M, and having the largest number of American followers among Korean celebrities. The US is also the country where V got the most followers on the platform, covering 16% of his followers and numbering to 10.5M. Also, Taehyung ranked at #4 in America’s Most Influential Influencer after Kendall Jenner, Kylie Jenner, and Selena Gomez, all without bots and playing the algorithm (like that talentless psychopath). In the current ranking, Taehyung still remains as the top K-pop influencer on the list of Top 1000 Instagram influencers (8th overall).
I’d love to see all these achievements and impact, both from each of V’s brand projects and each of his songs being displayed on Wikipedia and other official sources, too. Recently, V got another recognition for his song, Love Me Again. It’s listed as the “Most Swooning Single” in an American’s music media, Consequence’s 2023 K-Pop Yearbook 🥳🎉👏🙌 This unpromoted and surprise track has previously debuted in the Billboard Hot 100 at #96. It was dropped in 14 hours after announcement and got only a couple days of tracking. Still, it became the fastest music video to hit 1M, 2M, and 3M in just a matter of minutes. Starnews also detailed in its latest post for Tae’s Love Me Again achievements: it became the most streamed B-side in history by a Korean male act on Spotify, the longest-charting song by a Korean soloist in the platform, #1 on Billboard’s Weekly Digital Song Sales chart, first and only B-side to spend 300 days on GLobal Spotify chart by a K-pop act, and earned a triple crown on MCountdown (one of the biggest Korean music show) and three Melon Popularity Awards (one of the biggest Korean streaming platform) 🥳🎉👏🙌 Love Me Again has also helped V become the first K-pop soloist to ever debut multiple songs within the Top 20 of Spotify Weekly Global at the same time and the first Korean Soloist to ever debut two B-sides, alongside Rainy Days, in the Top 10 of the Billboard Global 200 excluding US. It’s exciting to list so many of Taehyung’s recent achievements, but they really can’t be contained in just one or a few posts.
Keep doing amazing, Taehyung-ah. So many people want to ride on you, steal your resources and fame, and destroy what they can’t, but all of that is just a testament to the big name you’ve made for yourself, and only by yourself, that got others very envious, scheming, and predatory. Obviously, they can’t be YOU; they can’t copy you and what makes you very impactful to so many hundreds of millions of people around the world. What you got, you’ll always be able to regenerate, expand, and multiply it. Don’t be shy nor be afraid of flaunting it. Put it out there so that everyone knows and others won’t be able to steal it. Protect your resources, your artistry, and strengthen your impact. Don’t be afraid of those whose level is way below you, even if they’re many. There’s a reason why they haven’t reached what you have already reached, because they only know how to exploit others and bring them to their level. When you recognize rotten people, you can easily and effectively stay away from them. Remember, rotten spreads. Don’t stay with such people and environment any longer. Listen to those who are talented, skillful, who can bring you even more amazing ideas, and help you improve and make progress.
Our Taehyung has already been doing great. Let’s keep supporting him and his artistry – his big name in music & branding 🥳🎉👏🙌
