As of this date, 8 days after its release, your Love Me Again has now gained 40M views on the platform (or 40M view on its first week) while your Rainy Days now has garnered 20M views after 8 days. I heard that the views for Rainy Days were on “freeze” on YouTube since its release, which is really sad because the MV is just so beautiful. That happened because it was released just after a day and a half since the release of your Love Me Again when YouTube would be expected to freeze views on accounts when they hit a certain number of views or threshold.

I’ve read a post before that said the British and European charts are difficult to conquer. Your activities in Paris with Celine and Cartier and headlining this September’s British magazine cover, Pop, are really great influences, Taehyung-ah. Great choices! In South Korea, it is also timely that you have Arena Homme+ Korea, Esquire Korea, and W Korea to cover your solo debut as you’re on its cover this September too. These magazine covers are all ready for pre-order and they’re sweeping #1s and occupying the top spots in different online platforms too. It seems that people just can’t get enough of you, Taehyung-ah.
Congratulations too on debuting at #79 on Spotify global artist chart and becoming the first and highest entry as a Korean soloist on the chart with your pre-released singles. I also salute how Celine has shown so much faith in you and being with you on the cover of an influential European magazine, Pop, this September, and three Korean magazines: Elle Korea last February and Esquire Korea and W Korea this September. You deserve that faith too.
Your events with Celine in last year’s Paris Fashion Week and this year’s announcement of you being the new “Celine Boy” with Elle Korea has proven so much great impact on the brand, with it vitally increasing its revenue and influence 51% in that duration and being the highest ranking luxury brand in 2023, as reported a few months ago. I could only imagine how explosive things would have been in 2024’s brand ranking if your event with Celine wasn’t canceled last June, the same event that got you and Celine so much long-lasting impact in June last year.
I remember how your historical Vogue Korea with Cartier last year welcomed your solo debut by calling you ICON OF AN ERA and how your Elle Korea with Celine at the beginning of this year strengthened it. It would have been better if you have confirmed to us sooner the exact date of your album, or singles, release, instead of having heard of them as rumors or hearsays from other sources aside from you or your label. We could have been more organized if we knew like how we are during your birthdays, solo events, or BTS events.
Despite it all, I’m still very happy to see how it turns out that our raw efforts are making huge waves. I’m more excited how this will be in the long term especially that we have just started and also we’ve got so much time before your season begins.

What’s Next on Layover album
We’re all now getting so excited for the next single, Blue, which you will release soon. It’s great that two MV teasers are already scheduled on the 22nd and 25th of this month. I’m sure there will be more events that you’ll do to promote your album, right? First up, there’s Tiny Desk Concerts in Korea this September 25 where you’ll be part of the lineup. I think you’re going to be the main highlight of the event, Taehyung-ah. I’m super excited for that. Indeed, we all have so much to be excited about and we’ll be seeing you a lot more.
Another good news is that you will finally be releasing your Scenery, Winter Bear, and Snow Flower on official platforms on August 28th. Thank you so much, Taehyung-ah. I wonder if we can show our support by buying them on digital stores, too, such as in iTunes, Amazon Music, and others. Will they also be released under your solo album, Layover? Woah, your first solo album will be so meaningful for us in so many ways, like a dream. I wish you’ll also officially release the songs you have teased on social media platforms, such as Travel with Me (Instagram), 1234evermore (Twitter), and Maybe (Weverse), and put them even as hidden tracks on your Layover (actually, I’m super begging you to do that 🙏🙏🙏 and I know sooo many of your fans and armys wish you’ll do that too).

It’s really amazing that you’re gracing the cover of four huge magazines – the British Pop and Korean Esquire, Arena Homme+ and W Korea – this September and that you’ll also be releasing your first official solo album, Layover, all at the same time. That’s just massive!
I hope we won’t run out of albums, digital singles, and magazine covers to buy from any platform before they are officially released this September. I also really hope they’ll keep on re-stocking the supplies until, at least, the month of September, is over. All of us, your fans and armys, have so much to keep up. By the way, can you also re-stock your Veautiful Days photofolio (and your Mute Boston bag, especially for us who missed ordering it as it’s sold out in just 2 seconds) on Weverse shop? I’m super happy that you’re finally releasing your album, Taehyung-ah. We’ve all been waiting for your songs since 2020 when you first mentioned that your mixtape had been in the works, particularly with the release of your Sweet Night and Blue & Grey during that year. I heard you first started working on your solo songs back in 2018 during one of the episodes of Bon Voyage, so when Scenery came at the beginning of 2019, it was really joyful. Then you shined so beautifully in Boy with Luv MV that was released around the same time (or a couple of months after) in 2019 too. I kept thinking that the MV for your Winter Bear that was released later in the year was supposed to be for Scenery. Nevertheless, both songs are beautiful.
I am so proud that your songs are musically mature, thoughtful, soulful, and purposeful. Your raw vocals and your beautiful MVs are things you can be proud of to anyone. Congratulations, and thank you so much for giving them to us, your fans, who now found even more things to love about you.
Many fans and armys have expected that you will also follow pop music (or K-pop tone) just like other members of BTS who have debuted before you. I think your songs are Pop R&B, or light R&B, and they’re more beautiful and meaningful for me. You’ve been reining in K-OST genre with your Sweet Night and Christmas Tree so your pop and jazzy R&B that’s blending with soulful K-OST in your album makes your music and message captivating for us while it’s giving you a lovable, thoughtful, sincere, and relatable character musically and personally.
Your 1234evermore, which you have teased on Twitter last year, is an excellent R&B track. I’m crying. I super want that song in your album, Taehyung-ah, alongside your Travel with Me and Maybe. I hope you’ll release a pop song, single, or album someday too, which is similar in vibe with your Travel with Me. We all can attest that you did sooo good with that song and that’s shaking all of us. I think it marks the beginning of your Instagram account garnering so much dedicated interest and worthy attention. You’ve built such a deep connection in that way, Taehyung-ah.
Your voice in Love Me Again is really so beautiful to listen to, especially with the verses. It’s giving us a peek to your emotions. Your visuals and storytelling in Rainy Days are even more superb. It hooks us more. I’m super grateful to Producer Minhee Jin-nim for giving us such a fantastic MV we all can be proud of. Your Love Me Again’s MV is simple but classic and it’s also beautiful, but I’m more hooked by your beautiful deep voice in the song, Taehyung-ah. Both of the songs have truly great and meaningful lyrics.
I’m very thankful that instead of a mixtape, SoundCloud, or YouTube only (which tends to be for free), you have given us an official solo album, Taehyung-ah. In that way, we can support you properly and all your work, artistry, and efforts will be properly accounted for and recognized. I want to write more about your album and your singles, but I think I should make a separate letter for that. Thank you so much, Taehyung-ah.
