I’ve been looking into the latest updates for your songs, Taehyung-ah, and I’m proud that you have really created very meaningful and deep songs. This kind of artistry is very respectable. Like what a Weverse magazine previously wrote, you are painting with your music, and your artistry is really beautiful and respectable.
Congratulations to your “Christmas Tree”, Taehyung-ah, on surpassing 310M streams on Spotify. 🥳🎉👏🙌 I’m happy and proud to see how you got multiple independent solo songs that have already exceeded the 250M Spotify streams milestone. I wonder if you can remember, but when I started sending you letters on Weverse, your “Sweet Night” (which is now over 310M streams as well) and “Singularity” at that time were still on their 250M streams mark and there wasn’t a lot of songs from Korean soloists, both in and out of K-pop groups, that have multiple songs reaching that mark. Now, look at you getting them in a way that’s so well-deserved. You know your songs are really so beautiful, right? They have that depth, that quality, that creativity, which should embody music and artistry. Congratulations for that, Taehyung-ah. 🥳🎉👏🙌
Congratulations, too, on being the #1 most followed Korean soloist in the last 24 hours for 6 consecutive days and getting it a number of times a few weeks ago. 🥳🎉👏🙌Congratulations, too, on surpassing 60M followers on Instagram and becoming the fastest person in the platform’s history to achieve this. 🥳🎉👏🙌 I’m sorry if I’m late to congratulate you in this, and although you may not be the most followed Korean soloist on Spotify or Instagram these days, I’m still happy to remember how you’ve been the most followed Korean soloist at the end of the year in both platforms. On regular days, you often get your momentum back on all socials. When you have official activities, too, your impact just balloons. But I think that, more than all these numbers, it’s your pride and happiness in the quality, meaning, and influence of your work (be it in music, fashion, or other area) that matters the most, especially in the long run. It’s these things that build over time, Taehyung-ah, and it’s what all of us, your fans, your peers, and the music and entertainment industry, including fashion and brand patronage cherish.
Congratulations to your “Le Jazz de V” Live Clip on surpassing 10M views and 1.5M likes on YouTube. 🥳🎉👏🙌 You are so mesmerizing on the video, Taehyung-ah. Congratulations, too, on having trended at #2 on YouTube Worldwide. 🥳🎉👏🙌 Your cover on YouTube last December was already so much of a treat. I think your voice at that time was in perfect condition. You know what I like about cover songs ever since before? It’s the lovely habit of singers gifted with singing abilities and have music in their hearts. Your cover of “Someone Like You” was also very perfect, Taehyung-ah. Thank you so much for gifting us with beautiful and meaningful songs and covers that we can celebrate together.
Also, belated happy 10th anniversary to you, BTS, and ARMY. 🥳🎉👏🙌 As in, it’s super late, so I’m really, really sorry. I’ve been wanting to write a letter since a long time ago, but I apologize for not being able to find the time. I still celebrated on my own though. I went to a Korean restaurant to celebrate as usual. You know, I always thought Korean food were delicious, but I think that’s often because I eat it when I’m celebrating, so the memory creates happiness for me every time. Thank you so much for letting me discover this beautiful time. I wouldn’t have known how great K-pop is and how strong and solid the K-pop fan community is with BTS and ARMY. I found a truly beautiful love with you too, and I’ve been super happy ever since.
Thank you so much for “Take Two” and “For Youth”, the songs you’ve dedicated to armys since the time I’ve followed you, and also to all the songs BTS has dedicated to us and has released over the years, all of which have lighten us up. 🤗🤗🤗There was so much that’s being conveyed in your music and I think I, and so many of your armys, wouldn’t be so drawn to you if it wasn’t for your songs, stories, and performances (which I still watch from time to time). I just really wish I can understand every word in Korean and sing along like how I could with Western artists. K-pop is not really my genre – actually, I’m not very fond of popular music at large, so my younger self from a few years ago wouldn’t believe it if I’d go back and tell her she’d love your and BTS’ music so much. There’s a part of me that wants to rebel too because I’m becoming so ingrained in your life and music as well as that of BTS and K-pop. K-pop is scary; it permeates people’s identities, but I think it’s fine as long as it’s coming from something that we love, right? I didn’t care that much about the artists’ personal lives before, and as long as their lyrics and tune resonate with me and my style, I embrace them deeply. Imagine how addicted and invested I’ve been the first time I got into your music. I didn’t listen to any other music then, so these past few months have been refreshing and I can confidently say your music really does hit different.
Congratulations to your “Take Two” fan cam, too, on surpassing 10M views on TikTok and on being the first one to do so. 🥳🎉👏🙌 Taehyung-ah, this song means a lot to me, not only because it’s the song that BTS has released in 2023. Have I told you before how songs mark their own time? I know that you and the rest of the members are taking a “take two” of your personal and professional lives. I couldn’t exactly say it’s a reset, although it could be starting over with the experience, knowledge (or wisdom), and abilities you have honed over the years. Sometimes, we just really need to take a break, to recuperate, so that we can start fresh again. This time, we won’t be so affected and so bound by the things that have broken us before. Things that have hurt us still exist, and it’s not that we have gotten stronger either, but we just choose to take a different possibility – and another approach accordingly. Things that are non-negotiable may constantly be changing, some expanding, and some shrinking. Nobody can define you aside from yourself. I tell myself often these days, “I wonder what you’re afraid of, but if you’re really afraid, you can do something about it. No one can judge you whom you don’t allow.” Personal distance is a safe mechanism, and that includes our choice with the people we allow to define us and deal with us. I wonder what your personal “Take Two” is nowadays, Taehyung-ah.
Congratulations to “Hold Me Tight”, too, which was composed and produced by you, on surpassing 120M streams on Spotify! 🥳🎉👏🙌 I heard it’s the first song you have produced back in 2015. You’re still very young but you have already created this very sweet, deep, and meaningful song. ‘I think you have also produced “Run” with Jungkookie (By the way, Jungkookie’s “Seven” is super beautiful. I’m super proud and happy. He’s got the power to knock all sides – lyrics, melody, vocals and singing, visuals, performance, and huge dedicated fanbases. I know he can always do great and I’m happy to see he’s doing something that he loves. I hope he’ll gain momentum. Also, I’m super happy that his “Still With You” and “My You” have also been officially released. Woah, I’ve long been waiting for them too. They’ll be waste of talent and great music if they won’t be officially released.
I hope you’ll also do the same with your unreleased and independent songs, Taehyung-ah. Also, I’m very curious about your “Maybe”. Hyesung-nim updated us with its song mixer on IG so I wondered if it’s in the works officially. I’m getting excited and hopeful. I really hope to listen to the complete version of “Travel with Me” and “1234evermore” too, as well as “Smile”, “Sleep”, “Umbrella”, “It’s You”, and more, and your independent songs, “4 o’clock”, “Scenery”, “Winter Bear”, “Snow Flower”, and your covers. You know what, these songs are already super excellent. I hope you could put these songs on B-side so they can be officially released.
They said that you’ll be releasing your solo album later this year. That’s wonderful, Taehyung-ah, but I hope you’re giving it the time it deserves. You must have been working so hard on it too and I can already imagine how good the songs will be. You always give us high quality work in whatever field you venture – music, fashion, sold-out endorsements (even just wearing them is already so much of a promotion). You’re always phenomenal and massively influential, and you know you break and exceed expectations. You’re doing great, and you know we see that, right? Stay proud and happy, our beloved Taehyung.
Congratulations to your “Stigma”, too, on surpassing 150M streams on Spotify. 🥳🎉👏🙌 It’s your 5th solo song to reach that milestone! Woah, Taehyung-ah, you had the best idea to add an amazing ad-lib to the song. Do you know that it’s the part that made all of us, including vocal coaches, critics, broadway singers, and more, to be sooo proud of you? It’s this mark that made us praise your vocals – wide range; beautiful deep and soulful baritone, skillful falsetto, and excellent high notes to the bridge, that we all are waiting for every time we play the song. And it’s really fantastic that your voice sounds clear, masterful, and soulful, Taehyung-ah. Your live performances are even more exciting and they’re always a great source of delight and pleasure. Together with your “Singularity”, your “Stigma” showed this mesmerizing portrayal of intense emotions and excellent talents – beautiful face, figure, voice, and performance. Who won’t get captivated?
Oh, it’s also pleasing to see each of BTS members’ Spotify Profile. 🥳🎉👏🙌 It’s amazing to see the group being labeled as “21st century pop icons”. I hope that the people who are handling “BTS” will truly take the group as the legend that you are. The band has grown so big and yet it can’t be fully maximized because people there thought your time is up. I think I still don’t understand, nor do I like, that you have to serve in the military for 2 years and waste your golden years. You’re still 27, right, Taehyung-ah? I hope you can reach your full potential with your golden years, Taehyung-ah. You’re the soul and synergy to BTS and you internalized BTS’ themes so much that I can’t help but think you’re the key inspiration to many of its conceptualization. Aside from that, though, you’ve played a key role in two of the albums that I loved so much in BTS’ artistry – Love Yourself – Tear and BE (I believe these are the deepest and the most meaningful albums), and a new album that means a lot to me personally – Proof. I’ll always be proud of your Hwarang, DNA, Tears, Boy with Luv, BE, your Solo era, and more. But you know what, I’m happy and proud, too, that you’re making a name and being recognized beyond BTS. 🥳🎉👏🙌
